Changing the size of solitaire in Windows XP...

Unread postby PÕQ~Prince » Mon Jan 04, 2016 3:36 pm

Hey guys and gals,

I am still on vacation and I am working on a few computer-related issues for my dad. He has several machines. He enjoys playing solitaire on his old Windows XP machine; however, the resolution is either too small) in 1080p) or too large (when using properties to run it at 640 x 480 resolution).

Does anyone know of a work-around for this?

I know that we were able to scale Halo to 1080p, but I would like something more around 800x600 for my dad's solitaire (big...but not too big).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I will be flying back to California in a couple of days!

Thanks. However, the solution that they offer is the same (scaling the game to 640 x 480) which makes the game too large for my dad's taste. My mom uses this particular computer and I don't want to change the resolution to the point that it pixelizes everything just for the sake of one game.

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Use the magnifier.

Hmm ... using the magnifier might help the cause.

Well, I'm back in California. My dad has newer PC's, but he still likes his old XP machine -- especially the stock Solitaire game. We found a workaround for it by simply scaling down the resolution. I hate that because I bought him a new ultra HD IPS monitor for that computer and the lower resolution seems like a waste of a really good monitor.

I am going to try and find another workaround so that I can raise the resolution back to its native output and yet still allow him to sport the old Solitaire game that he likes.
